    Fairfield Pop Warner takes state crown
    The Fairfield Giants Pee Wee football team captured the CT State Championship on Sunday November 15th by beating a tough hard hitting Brookfield Bobcat team. The Giants won 22-0 with their vaunted doomsday defense completing its fourth consecutive playoff shutout and their thirteenth shutout of the season.

    The F-Train makes another stop: Fairfield Pop Warner PeeWees win Division II Crown
    The Fairfield Giants Pee Wee football team, affectionately called the F-Train, won the Division II Southern CT Pop Warner Championship by steamrolling the Naugatuck Hounds 34-0. The Giants have swept through the playoffs thus far outscoting their opponents 80-0 in three games; they outscored their regular season opponenst 234-18.

    It's state playoff time which means win and advance or lose and the season's all over for the area sports teams. Most of the locals to qualify advanced in early-round contests.
