The Classes 3-4 state track and field championships took place May 28-29 at Lincoln University in Jefferson City. Athletes from Washington, Borgia, Union, St. Clair and Pacific were among those competing at the event.

The Franklin County Rugby Football Club opened play Saturday, March 27, in Washington with a 25-24 come-from-behind win over the Kohlfeld Scorpions of Cape Girardeau. Franklin County trailed 19-0 at the half before coming back. Images in this gallery are from the match.
The Borgia boys basketball Knights competed at the MSHSAA Class 4 Championships in Columbia March 12-13. Borgia beat Soldan International Studies in the semifinals, but lost to Kearney in the title game.

The Washington Blue Jays and Lady Jays played in the Class 5 District 5 Tournament hosted by Washington and Eureka Feb. 22-26. Both Washington teams reached the semifinals before losing. Parkway South swept both district titles.
