Approximately 366 diplomas were awarded to graduating seniors at Washington High School during commencement ceremonies Thursday evening in the school gymnasium. This was the first year that there were no valedictorians or salutatorians. Instead, students who earned "high honors" or "honors" were recognized.
A total of 140 diplomas were awarded to graduating seniors at St. Francis Borgia Regional High School Thursday evening, May 13, during commencement ceremonies. The 2010 valedictorian was Julia Garza and the salutatorian was Allison Rettke. Dr. Jason L. Reinberg, the division head of Patients First Health Care-Division of Dermatology, delivered the commencement address.
Washington West Elementary School held its kindergarten promotion Thursday, May 13. Students sang songs and certificates were given to the kindergartners.
Students at St. Francis Borgia Preschool have been learning about baby chickens or chicks. The chicks hatched this week and on Tuesday, May 11, the students got to hold them.
