The Southbury Inland Wetlands Commission took the following actions at its regular meeting on November 10, 2009, at Southbury Town Hall.

Having considered the factors and circumstances set forth in Section 7.5 of the regulations and having reviewed all information and reports received by the Commission regarding these applications the following applications were approved.

Application #1494 Subdivision of 44 Hemlock Ridge Road; Hemlock Ridge Road; Bryan Nettleton, applicant; approval consists of construction of a new single family dwelling with associated onsite septic disposal system, driveways and associated utilities, with conditions.

Application #1495 Stones Way Subdivision North Georges Hill Road; Pine Rock Investment Corp., LLC, applicant; approval consists of development of an eleven lot subdivision with associated roadways, and detention facilities, with conditions.

LEGAL NOTICE

SOUTHBURY, CONNECTICUT - The Town of Southbury has proposed a project to rehabilitate the pavement on Main Street South between Garage Road and Brown Road. The project is in the design phase and has been recommended for construction under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 administered by the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

It is the Town's and the State's policy to keep persons informed and involved when such projects are undertaken. It is important that the community share its concems to assist in the project's development.

The Town is planning to mill, repair and resurface approximately 5,800 feet of Main Street South and install new traffic control signage as required, line striping and pavement markings.

Based upon a preliminary assessment, the construction cost will be approximately $600,000. It is anticipated that the Federal Highway Administration will provide approximately 81% of the construction cost through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The federal funding will be capped at $488,638. It is anticipated the construction of this project will be performed during the spring of 2010.

Preliminary plans and specifications are available for public review and comment at the office of the Department of Public Works, 66 Peter Road, Southbury, CT during normal working hours Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Anyone interested in obtaining further information or providing input may do so by contacting Thomas F. Crowe, Jr., P.E., Director of Public Works, at 203-262-0622, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. or at publicworks@southbury-ct.gov.
