FALL FESTIVAL OF ART -

The Watertown Art League invites the public to a reception for the 2009 fall festival of art sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, November 14, at the new St. John School Auditorium, 760 Main Street, Watertown. Paintings in all mediums will be displayed for sale, along with a wide selection of small works.

Holiday-themed art classes offered in Monroe

MONROE - Local metalsmith and artist Sharon Mahoney of Woodbury will offer several holiday-themed classes in the upcoming weeks at A Bead of Roses, 444 Main St.

The focus of the classes will be the creation of sterling silver pendant necklaces using stained-glass copper foil methods, personalized "message" jewelry using sterling silver and metal stamping methods, and keepsake holiday ornaments using copper foil techniques.
