Horizon Health to expand telemedicince capabilities
A Rural Development grant will allow Horizon Health, Inc., to continue updating its telemedicine capabilities. Horizon Health has received a $365,000 USDA Rural Utilities Service Distance Learning and Telemedicine grant. Horizon CIO Scott Weatherill said the grant will allow Horizon to move forward with its $520,000 Dakota Healthcare Access through Telemedicine program, which will expand telemedicine equipment at 10 Horizon clinics in rural South Dakota.

Rutland gym gets new wood floor
Fahrenwald

Rutland basketball players will have a new wood floor to play on this winter. Community members have responded to a call for donations, so far contributing $17,500 toward the $37,800 project. "This is a huge deal for us," said Rutland Superintendent Carl Fahrenwald. "This is a community-driven project outside of the capital outlay budget."
