Pool/Rec Task Force wants input on first phase

Man bound over on four counts of arson District Judge Merryl Wilson bound over Brent Boyle, 33, Clay Center, on four counts of arson at a preliminary hearing on Nov. 10. His arraignment is set for Jan. 12.

The Clay Center Animal Shelter is preparing to make a lot of changes -- some of which will be made as soon as the new shelter is built, others may be a couple of years away yet.
Animal control officer Amy Taylor and city administrator Cheryl Beatty talked about animal control changes they will make and other plans at last week's Chamber coffee forum. The city is in the process of rewriting its animal control ordinance. Full Story
