'Duty, Honor, Country' focus of address at Almena
Speaker—Captain Dane Deutsch, Air Force veteran from Rice Lake, was the featured speaker Thursday evening at ceremonies in front of the Vietnam Memorial Moving Wall in Almena. His message was punctuated by these three words: Duty! Honor! Country! Three words that are the motto of the United States Military Academy. Words we all could live by.

The Vietnam Memorial Moving Wall came to the village of Almena this past weekend, with opening ceremonies Thursday evening in Shadyside Park. Special speaker was Captain Dane Deutsch, Air Force veteran from Rice Lake. Following is Captain Deutsch's. address.

Judy Evitch thought she was in the middle of a science fiction episode when saw swarms of Monarch butterflies in her yard the weekend of Aug. 20. She says it reminded her of Alfred Hitchcock's film, "The Birds." On the evening of Aug. 24, she saw large numbers of Monarchs vying for space on pine branches.
