CLARINDA -- The Harlan Community boys track team won four relays and two individual events on Thursday night to place second in the Class AAA division of the Clarinda Cardinal Relays.
Atlantic won the meet with 125 points, followed by HCHS (101), Thomas Jefferson (96) and Glenwood (94).
The HCHS JV also competed and scored 17 points to place 11th out of 20 teams in the Class A division.
Winning relay teams for the Cyclones included the 4x800, 4x200, medley and 4x400. The medley quartet of Dylan Barrett, Nick Bosak, Ryan Fahn and Michael Kaufmann ran a season-best time of 3:51.53.
Also winning events for HCHS were Skyler Christensen in the high jump (six feet) and Reid Murtaugh in the 100 dash (11.04, season best).
Cody Hansen was second in the shot put and Barrett placed second in the long jump with a new best of 19 feet, 1.33 inches.
On Tuesday, HCHS will host the annual Cyclone Invitational boys track meet at 4:30 p.m.
