White Mountain Faith in Action invites all individuals, civic groups, religious groups and community organizations to our newest program! Working with those in our area toward providing a day of respite for care givers, those elderly shut-ins or any person needing a day away from those four walls is our goal! Their non-denominational group will meet every Thursday at 10 a.m. and conclude at 2 p.m. We have received a Grant to increase our services. Come to the Our Lady of the Assumption Church hall or call for directions and transportation.
Activities such as games, memory-lane-then-and-now, chair games, snacks, laughs, lunch and various entertainment will be provided. Your loved-ones will be provided with the best care by trained volunteers. Take a day for yourself! They are also seeking part-time volunteers for service on other days in contacting those who live alone, driving them to the market or hair dresser/barber and just about anything we can do to make a senior smile!
Volunteers may be 55 years young as well as those we serve. You may choose to serve once a week or more? The more volunteers that they have recorded, the more the agency can count in requesting grants for our little community!
