The South Dakota Republican Party has announced today the selection of Justin Ohleen, 27, as the new Political Director of the South Dakota Republican Party.
Ohleen, a native of Webster, recently returned to South Dakota after working in the White House on the staff of Vice President Dick Cheney.
An honor graduate of both Webster High School and Northern State University, Justin served as a legislative intern in the 2003 South Dakota House of Representatives and actively served in the 2004 Victory Campaign, which led to a career in Washington, DC. While in DC, Justin began his federal employment by working at the Office of the Secretary for the Department of Homeland Security.
Chairman Bob Gray said, "Ohleens life experiences will serve us well in the South Dakota Republican Party. Having grown up in South Dakota, Justin understands the diversity of our communities and the importance of leadership from our elected officials. Justin's scope of political knowledge transcends from local to state to federal government. We're lucky to have someone of Justin's caliber working hard for South Dakota's future."
