Irwin Re-Elected State President

The South Dakota Association of Conservation Districts held its annual convention in Spearfish recently and Irwin Symens of Marshall County was re-elected president for another term. Those attending from Marshall County were State President Irwin Symens, John Knebel, and Wanda Franzen. Activities began with an inspirational meeting Sunday evening. Monday's activities included committee meetings, informational sessions, two bus tours highlighting the Belle Fourche Watershed Partnership and Black Hills Forestry, and concluding with a grilled steak supper cooked and served by Chef Carl Madsen and his USFWS and NRCS partners. Brock Finn provided entertainment. Tuesday's activities included a general session with reports from district partners, the general business session where Symens was re-elected for a second term, and the awards luncheon.
