Runners From 15 States In Race

A total of 137 runners participated in the Saturday morning road race held as part of Britton's 125th Anniversary celebration.
Runners hailed from Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin, Saskatchewan, Canada, and South Dakota.
The overall winner of the 5K run was Alex Card of Prior Lake, MN, with a time of 20:12. Kelsey Barrett of Britton was second at 20:16. In the 10K race Patrick Steffen of Overland Park, KS, topped the field with a clocking of 38:12,and Sonya Nilsson of Mansfield was second at 41:42.
Age group winners for men and women in the 5K event included: 13-19, Alex Card, Kelsey Barrett; 20-29, Jameson Palm, Erika Moog; 30-39, Sheldon Liebl, Paula Nett; 40-49, Kurt Gravely, Cindy Hartung-Suel; 50-59, Steve Card, Donna Thompson; and 60+, Roger Bush, Sharon Tisher.
In the 10K event age group winners included: 13-19, Angela Goodall; 20-29, Sharleen Bush; 30-39, Patrick Steffen, Sonya Nilsson; 40-49, Rolf Johnson, Estelle Meyers; and 50-59, Jon Helmer, Connie Henne.
Nineteen youngsters ages 3-12 participated in the munchkin event.
