**LINDA FISK Linda Fisk, 68, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Avera St. Luke's Hopstial, Aberdeen. Funeral service was held today, Wednesday, July 15, at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Tom Haggar officiating. Burial was in the Britton Cemetery. Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, Aberdeen, was in charge of arrangements. Linda Kay Seibel was born March 26, 1941 to Clayton & Inez Seibel in Britton. She was raised on the family farm north of Kidder and graduated from Kidder High School in 1961. Linda married Boyd Fisk on June 25, 1961 in Kidder. Linda enjoyed life, being a homemaker and raising their sons. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Aberdeen, and enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, knitting, crocheting and time with family. Survivors include; her husband; sons, Kevin (Mimi) Fisk, Brown Deer, WI; Capt (USAF Ret.) Micheal (Karen) Fisk, Knob Noster, MO; Doyle (Holly) Fisk, Wendell, MN; brother, Alan (Bev) Seibel, Britton; sister, Janet Daly, Astoria, NY; and seven grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother. **ELEANOR NADDY Eleanor Naddy, 89, died June 25, 2009. She was born March 6, 1920 to William and Anna Naddy at Kidder. She graduated from Britton High School in 1937 then attended Northern State College at Aberdeen. She started teaching in rural schools in South Dakota and then taught commercial subjects in North Dakota, Wyoming and spent 25 years (1949-1974) teaching in Port Angeles, WA. Through the years she continued her education getting her BS degree in 1947 at Northern State and her Masters degree in 1966 from Oregon State University. Survivors include her brother, Donald Naddy and sister, Helen Naddy Aastrom. **VIVIAN LARSON Vivian (Mrs. Luther) Larson, 82, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Avera St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen, after a short battle with liver cancer. Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, July 15 at Falnes Lutheran Church, rural Langford with Rev. Charlie Bunk officiating. Burial was in Falnes Lutheran Church Cemetery. Price Funeral Chapel, Britton, was in charge of arrangements Vivian Joyce Rosser was born April 26, 1927 in Chicago, IL to Roy L. and Lucy (Cunningham) Rosser. She attended Brennan Grade School and Fanger High School in Chicago. She attended a choir concert in her local church given by the Augustana Academy Choir from Canton, SD and loved the music. She persuaded her parents to let her attend high school at Augustana and sing in the choir. She spent the next three years as the soloist in that choir. She also gave annual recitals in voice and piano. It was at Augustana Academy that she met her future husband, Luther Larson. He was also enrolled as a student there. After graduation from high school, she attended Northern State Teachers College in Aberdeen and received her Teacher's Certificate to teach rural schools. Vivian taught school in Day County for four years. Vivian married her high school sweetheart, Luther Larson December 3, 1949 in Chicago. They spent their entire married life on a farm 1.5 miles north of Falnes Church. Vivian enjoyed her family, her music, her church, the farm and the country. Survivors include; her husband of Langford; four daughters: Elizabeth (Robert) Hanson and LuAnn Larson, both of Watertown, Robin (Mathew) Moran, Huron, Sandra (Robert) Hastings, Britton; a son, Luther "Skip" Larson, Langford; two sisters: Jane Miles, Delavan, WI; Sue (Bill) Gartley, Stevensville, MI; two brothers: Roy (Jeanette) Rosser, Evansville, WI; Roger (Avis) Rosser, Beloit, WI; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her infant son, her parents; a sister and two brothers-in-law. Memorials may be directed to Falnes Lutheran Church or the Falnes Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund. Online obituary and guestbook available at www.pricefuneralchapel.net. **KEITH WALLACE Keith E. Wallace died May 18, 2009 at his home in Spokane, WA. Grave service will be held Saturday, July 18 at 11 a.m. at Greenwood cemetery, Brookings. He was born June 21, 1923 to Norman Wallace and Cornelia Greeno Wallace on the home farm at Britton. He attended Britton Public Schools, graduating from Britton High School in May 1940. He started college at South Dakota State College in September 1940. This education was interrupted for World War II in the spring of 1942. During World War II he farmed with his father and when it was feasible to leave the farming to his father alone, he joined the Merchant Marines, where he became a Radio Operator on the WILLIAM BLOUNT LIBERTY SHIP, following education at USMS Radio School at Gallops Island, Boston, MA. During his time in the Merchant Marine he sailed from New York to LeHarve, France. His ship was responsible for rescuing members of another Liberty Ship crew that had hit a mine in the LeHarve Harbor. The William Blount returned to New York bringing military personnel home. At the end of the war Keith returned to College, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1949. He taught Vocational Education for one year at Barnard High School, Barnard. He then became a teacher for the "Veterans on the Farm Training" Program at Groton. Keith attended graduate school at South Dakota State College, earning a Master of Science Degree in Agronomy in 1954. He married Marilyn Elizabeth Page during his graduate school days (August 1, 1953); the wedding taking place at First Baptist Church, Haverhill, MAQ. After receiving his Graduate Degree he became Extension Weed Specialist for South Dakota State College in 1954. They moved to Spokane, WA in 1961 becoming Weed Specialist for Washington State University. Keith took Sabbatical from WSU in 1976 and traveled and studied in American Samoa, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan. He accepted a position with WSU in "Farming Systems Research" in Lesotho, Southern Africa, serving from January 1982 to August 1985. Survivors include his wife; children Dee Ann (Bill) Wallace Rice, Bruce (Ida) Wallace and Loretta Wallace; seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, two younger brothers, and his first child who died at the age of four.
