A basket benefit for a four-year-old girl diagnosed at birth with a lack of oxygen to the brain that caused her serious developmental delays will be held during the annual Jan Hinrichs Memorial Softball tournament at the Claremont Baseball Park on Saturday. Phoenix Burmeister, the daughter of Jesse and Kelly (Haaland) Burmeister and the granddaughter of Terry and Marcia Haaland of Claremont, is unable to talk or walk and has difficulty eating. More therapy is needed and is not covered by insurance. All basket donations are welcome and should be at the ball park by 9 a.m. on Saturday. Bidding time will be from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Anyone with questions may contact Susan Kurth or Carol Hanse.
