The Marshall County Conservation District Tree Shed is open for business.
Large bareroot stock and landscape shrubs are now available for sale with conservation grade stock and apple trees due to arrive the first week in May.
All customers who ordered large bare root trees in advance are asked to stop and pick them up at the building located at 501 Vander Horck on Highway 10. Hours are from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Anyone not ordering trees in advance is encouraged to stop and see what is available. Trees do best when planted while temperatures are still cool.
Trees available for sale include Donald Wyman Crab, Radiant Crab, Amur Chokecherry, Japanese Tree Lilac, Northern Red Oak, Hackberry, American Linden, Amur Maple, Autumn Blaze Maple, Sienna Glenn Maple, and Norway Maple.
Extra landscape shrubs available are Japanese Barberry, Dwarf Ninebark, Blue Muffin Viburnum, Morden Blush Rose, Champlain Rose, Bridalwreath Spirea, and Strawberry Daiguiri Dogwood.
