Belmond-Klemme will have its first entry in the state cross country meet since 1998. Grant van der Linden qualified for the state meet by finishing ninth at the district meet held Monday in Marshalltown. The B-K sophomore ran the 5K race in 18:10. The top ten finishers in each district advance to the state meet. The Class 1A boys' race will start at 2:30 p.m. at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course in Fort Dodge on Saturday, Oct. 31
