The education of Fiat

Fiat is hoping to be a big winner in the Obama's version of economic Russian Roulette - more specifically Detroit Roulette. We fear, however, that when the dust settles and President Obama is out raising money for his Presidential Library, the Italian automaker will be back in Rome, ruminating about its expensive American education. Fiat's problem is that it is entering a marriage made in Hades. Fiat will have some 20 percent of the new company. From what we can determine at this juncture, President Obama will reward the United Auto Workers with 55 percent of the stock for their support last November. The whole deal will be orchestrated by White House politicians with billions of federal dollars taken from U.S. taxpayers. Fiat is in for a real education.
