I spent a few days in Slayden, Miss., with my sister and brother-in-law, Julia and Homer Neal, so that's why I didn't have a letter in the paper. She came down to visit me and I returned home with her after we visited our Aunt Sallie Smith in Senatobia Convalescent Center.

Tuesday, June 9, Jean Red was hostess to 12 members of the Sewing Club, and one guest, Julia Neal. We always enjoy the "show and tell" time showing her lovely handmade and quilted quilts. Her hospitality was great and the meal was very scrumptious! There will be no meeting in July.

We are very happy that Jigg Franks is home after being a patient at North Oak Medical Center in Senatobia for awhile.

Last week Brenda and Ruben Riley were in Philadelphia, Miss. for a Nursing Home Convention. En route there, they visited friends Kenneth and June Ashmore in Kosciusko.

Lee and Peggy Branan of Southaven visited one day last week with her father, Buddy Rhodes and his mother, Pauline Branan and son, Steve. At the present time Lee has been hospitalized at Methodist Central. Our prayers are with him.

Glad that Mrs. Naomi Waddell is back at the Convalescent Center after spending a few days in North Oak Medical Center.

We send get well wishes to Johnnie Hawkins who is a patient at Baptist DeSoto Hospital.

Congratulations to Pam Mangrum and William Everitt who were joined in marriage at Tunica Baptist Church June 13 at 2:30 p.m. A reception followed at The Columns in Tunica. Following their honeymoon they will reside in Brandon, Miss.

Evansville Baptist Church spent last week in Vacation Bible School. Sunday they presented a program of what they did during the week followed by hamburgers and hot dogs and homemade ice cream in the Family Life Center. The children had fun on special equipment, and ended with a ride on the fire truck.
