Congratulations to Ben and Christina Byrok on the birth of a son born April 30 at Baptist DeSoto Hospital. Kyle Edward weighed 8 lbs., 12 oz. and is 21 inches long. He is welcomed home by his big brother, Kevin Allen, who is four years old.  Grandparents are Walter and Belinda Byrok of Thyatira and Ola Looney of Southaven. Great grandmothers are Peggy Tubbs and Ima Jean Smith.

My grandson, Samuel Harris, has been very ill this past week and has run a very high fever for a week now. He missed a field trip to Montgomery with his class and since it is nearing the end of school, he needs to get well so he can go back to school. Remember him in your prayers.

I am happy to say that Cathy Billingsley who works for Dr. Graves, is now cancer free and doing well. This is the best news I could report on such a sweet and nice person.

Harry Lee and Mallie Floate suffered injuries last Saturday when they had a motorcycle wreck which left Harry with a couple of broken ribs and collar bone and Mallie suffered a broken hand. I hope they mend soon, but I know they are so very sore right now.

I bought some strawberries last week which the kids dived into right away. Katie was munching on hers when suddenly she handed me the green top and said, "Okay, Gangy, now what do I do with the grass?"

Remember Charles Ainsworth of Looxahoma as he is having some serious health problems right now and is in need of our prayers.

I got a call from Carolyn Thompson who assured me that she is doing fine after I had reported that she was quite ill.   I am glad to hear this. Carolyn is one of my favorite people whom I used to love to talk to when they lived up here.

Leigh Ann is recovering at home from surgery she had a couple of weeks ago. I hope she continues to do well.

Remember Clint Stone of Strayhorn as he is quite ill at this time and in need of our prayers.

I was sad to learn of the death of Mrs. Dorothy Newsom who worked at Peoples Bank and passed away last week after suffering a stroke. My sympathy is extended to her family and many friends.

Remember Lisa Williams in your prayers. She was sick at her stomach and had trouble keeping food down last week. And she has a blood clot in her leg. Thomas Latimer III is back in Oxford Baptist with four more abscesses in his back.  Remember him in your prayers.

Happy birthday  to Grace Dandridge who celebrated her birthday last week. She also got a new roommate last week, Mrs. Willie Oldham, who used to waitress for Dot Mitchell.

I have not heard from Addie Brownlee who was in the hospital last week being treated for pneumonia. I hope all is well for her and will report more when I hear.

Mattie Miller celebrated her 6th birthday on Saturday and had a birthday party in her honor at her home on Dandridge on Sunday afternoon. Mattie is the daughter of Keith Miller and Amy Buford.

We send sympathy to the family of Janice Fair of North Carolina formerly of Senatobia who passed away Sunday, a victim of cancer. She leaves a daughter, Amy Buford and a son, Charles Fair, three grandchildren, Makenzie, Madelyn, Kendal. Funeral services were Thursday in Senatobia.
