Boone County attorney resigns

      Boone County Attorney Jim Robbins has tendered his resignation to the Board of Supervisors effective 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012.
      The Board will fill the vacancy by appointment at its regularly scheduled board meeting Wednesday, Aug. 22. The appointment will be effective until the certificate of election for the Nov. 6, 2012 general election is issued and the person elected has qualified by taking the oath of office.
