Brad Jermeland has accepted the position of Ogden High School superintendent and is settling into his new job. Jermeland spent the last 13 years at Indianola Community School, six as an elementary principal and seven as the associate superintendent. His wife Linda is employed at Simpson College in Indianola. They have two daughters, Sarah, 19, and Emily, 16. Jermeland says much of his first year will be spent learning about the district, its culture, faculty and parents as well as the community. He will then begin setting a direction for the future. Shawn Zanders accepts principal's position The Ogden Community School District Board of Directors, per the recommendation of Supt. Brad Jermeland, has offered the high school principal's position to C. Shawn Zanders. Zanders, who previously served as principal at Coon Rapids-Bayard, will be featured in an upcoming issue of The Ogden Reporter. Sign new football, track coach The school board recently approved the appointment of Garrison Carter as the head high school football coach. Carter previously held the position of assistant football coach at Dordt College in Sioux Center. Prior to that he served as head football coach at Seymour High School. Carter has also been hired as a high school at-risk instructor and will head up the girls track team and assist with boys track at the high school level. |
