Friday, Nov. 6
4:09 p.m.: Deputy Pontius investigated an accident west of P Avenue on 255th Street. Muzhi Zhao, 29, of Ames, was eastbound on 255th Street and lost control, slid off the roadway and struck a tree. No injuries were reported.
Saturday, Nov. 7
10:09 a.m.: Deputy Godzicki responded with Boone Fire and Boone County Hospital to a field fire within the 700 block of T Avenue. Investigation is continuing for an illegal burn. DNR was notified.
Sunday, Nov. 8
1:20 a.m.: Deputy Ruter conducted a traffic stop at 290th and M Avenue. The driver, Kenneth S. Hageman, 42, of Woodward, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
5:32 p.m.: Deputy Hoffman investigated a car/deer accident within the 1500 block of Highway 17. Charles D. Devos, 49, of Osceola, was northbound on Highway 17 when a deer ran in front of him. There was approximately $3,000 in damage.
9:27 p.m.: Deputy Ruter arrested Jessica M. Barber, 21, of Madrid, on a warrant.
Monday, Nov. 9
2:10 a.m.: Sgt. Wingate arrested Eric L. Terrones, 22, of Story City, on a warrant.
2:09 p.m.: Deputy Hoffman, Officer Jones, Woodward Rescue and Boone County Ambulance responded to 310th and I Avenue for a farm field accident. A Boone County man died at the scene. The name is not being released until relatives have been notified.
* An update to the farm accident. The man who died at the farm accident has been identified as Larry E. Barrett Sr., 72, of Madrid. According to witnesses, two empty grain wagons were being moved into the field at 310th and I Avenue. Barrett was struck by one of the grain wagons, causing the fatal injuries.
Tuesday, Nov. 10
8:29 p.m.: Deputy Zeutenhorst was dispatched to a car/deer accident within the 1000 block of 216th Street. The owner of the vehicle, Earl H. Stoeffler, 51, of Nevada, was arrested on a Boone County Warrant.
Wednesday, Nov. 11
8:34 a.m.: Deputy Pontius investigated a truck/deer accident on the Erickson curves of Highway 30. Donald E. Huntley, 75, of Ogden, struck a deer causing approximately $5,000 in damages to his vehicle.
9:48 a.m.: Deputy Pontius investigated a three-vehicle accident at Highway 169 and 30. The drivers of the three vehicles were: Bich T. Dang, 33, of Perry; Rick W. Molden, 55, of Urbandale; and David W. Schiefelbein, 30, of Johnston. Schiefelbein was cited for failure to stop at assured clear distance. Approximately $9,000 in total damages.
7:20 p.m.: Deputy Zeutenhorst investigated a single-vehicle rollover accident within the city limits of Beaver on 217th Street. The driver, Audrey K. Savage, 18, of Brighten, was cited for failure to maintain control and no insurance.
Thursday, Nov. 12
6:24 a.m.: Deputy Godzicki investigated a car/deer accident within the 1200 block of Highway 169. Nicole R. Bollenbaugh, 26, of Stratford, was southbound on 169 and struck a deer causing $4,000 in damages to her vehicle.
9:17 p.m.: Deputy Ruter investigated a vehicle/deer accident within the 1300 block of Highway 30. Loraile J. Tuttle, 52, of Ogden, was westbound and struck a deer causing $3,000 to her vehicle.
Friday, Nov. 13
3:03 p.m.: Joshua D. Daniels, 30, of Huxley, was arrested on a Boone County warrant.
3:31 p.m.: Shondra L. Quigley, 39, of Des Moines, was arrested for public intoxication at the Law Enforcement Center when she came in to serve time on a sentence order.
9:25 p.m.: Deputy Ruter conducted a traffic stop within the 2300 block of Highway 169 and arrested Phoebe J. Johnstone, 29, of Perry, for driving under suspension.
Saturday, Nov. 14
12:59 a.m.: Deputies Zeuten-horst and Twigg investigated a car/deer accident within the 1200 block of Highway 30. John D. Brown, 16, of Ogden, was westbound and struck a deer causing over $1,000 in damages.
Sunday, Nov. 15
5:18 p.m.: Deputies Hoffman and Twigg conducted a traffic stop and had a short foot pursuit with Jesse J. Mitchell, 20, of Ogden, and a male juvenile. Mitchell was arrested for interference with official acts.
