McMahon, 19, of Bouton for a warrant. 5:14 p.m.: Deputy Hoffman responded to 220th and X Avenue for trespassers on Union Pacific property. Hoffman cited the following for trespass: Vincent E. Settles, 18, Nicholas F. Pospisil, 21, and two juveniles, all of Ames. Saturday, Sept. 12 11:53 a.m.: A two-vehicle motorcycle accident happened at 200th and L Avenue, causing minor injuries to both drivers. Robert E. Schwab, 49, and Donald Woods, 59, both of Arizona, approached the curve and tipped their motorcycles on their sides. One landed in the ditch and the other stayed on the road. 3:53: p.m. Deputy Hammer responded to the Ledges State Park and assisted in a bicycle accident. Sunday, Sept. 13 1:55 a.m.: Deputy Zeutenhorst and Reserve Deputy Twigg arrested Christopher R. Ure, 20, of Jefferson, for public intoxication and interference with official acts after the deputies observed a verbal altercation near the Gigglin' Goat in Boone. 2:56 p.m.: Deputy Ruter and Ogden Police Chief Bailey responded to Pilot Mound for a domestic situation involving a weapon. Michael L .Platter, 50, of Pilot Mound, left the scene before law enforcement arrived. He was later found and arrested for operating while intoxicated and intimidation with a dangerous weapon. 3:58 p.m.: Deputy Naeve took a report of tools stolen at 34 110th Street. Investigation is continuing. Monday, Sept. 14 12:13 p.m.: Deputy Godzicki took a report from a resident at 97 I Avenue concerning two chain saws that were taken. Investigation is continuing. 6:00 p.m.: Michael L. Platter, 50, of pilot Mound, was arrested by Sgt. Kendall and Deputy Ruter for violation of a no-contact order. 3:22 p.m.: Deputy Ruter responded to Highway 17, north of Highway 30 for a two-vehicle accident with no injuries. Jonathan R. Whitten, 22, of Madrid, was northbound on Hwy. 17 and stopped for a non-contact vehicle in front of him. Amanda L. Smalley, 23, of Boone, was traveling in the same direction. Smalley became distracted and could not stop in time, causing a rear-end collision. Tuesday, Sept. 15 12:54 p.m.: Deputy Godzicki arrested Joshua C. Minich, 31, of Duncombe, on a warrant out of Hamilton County. 10:07 p.m.: Deputy Hoffman arrested Bradley D. Summy, 46, of Des Moines, on a warrant out of Polk County after Deputies Hoffman and Hammer responded to Ledges State Park for a loud camp site complaint. Wednesday, Sept. 16 10:51 a.m.: Deputy Godzicki and Chief Deputy Elsberry assisted Fire and Rescue and Boone County Hospital at Walmart for an unknown medical. 4:50 p.m.: Deputy Hoffman arrested Scott A. Twogood, 32, on a parole violation warrant. Thursday, Sept. 17 12:45 p.m.: Deputy Ruter responded to the 2300 block of 230th for a complaint of stolen checks from a business. 9:52 p.m.: Deputy Wingate and K-9 assisted Boone Police with tracking after a hit and run occurred in Boone and the driver fled the scene. Friday, Sept. 18 12:41 a.m.: Deputy Wingate initiated a traffic stop within the 1600 block of Highway 17 and arrested Jan G. Warwick, 50, of Boone, for operating while intoxicated. 6:31 p.m.: Deputy Hoffman investigated a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of P-70 and E-18. Carole C. Vladeff, 73, of Lehigh, was northbound on P-70 and approached E-18. Pauline B. Marsh, 52, of Callender was westbound on E-18. The vehicles collided within the intersection. Vladeff was cited for failure to yield upon entering a thru highway. Saturday, Sept. 19 5:41 p.m.: Deputy Naeve conducted a traffic stop at Highway 30 and I Avenue and cited the driver, Devon T. Hofflinger, 18, of Manning, for driving under suspension. Sunday, Sept. 20 10:37 p.m.: Deputy Zeutenhorst stopped a vehicle within the 1300 block of Highway 17 and arrested the driver, Heather D. Callen, 37, of Ottumwa, for driving while barred. |
