    Monday, July 13

          12:59 p.m.: Deputy Hoffman responded to a complaint of a black cow running loose in the area. Several phone calls were made by dispatch to find the owner, and no one claimed the cow. Cow kept getting into corn fields and was difficult to locate. Humane Society responded to round up. Could not be located. The Cow is now in the care of Don Crispin in the 500 block of T Avenue. Still no owner has been identified.
          2:45 p.m.: Deputy Hoffman responded to the 2200 block of 229th Place, Ames. Lasco Construction Services has reported several tools missing. Investigation is continuing.

    Tuesday, July 14

          1:30 a.m.: Deputy Zeutenhorst responded to a complaint of a foster child threatening another foster child with a knife at a residence in the 2200 block of 228th Place, Boone. Child was taken to Mary Greeley Medical Center for evaluation.
          8:52 a.m.:  Sgt. Kendall responded to a complaint by a motorist that there was a semi that had lost its flat bed trailer on old Hwy. 30 west of Boone. Turned out to be a semi unloading machinery for construction crew. There was no problem.
          11:07 a.m.: Deputy Ruter investigated a single-vehicle roll-over on V Avenue north of 180th Street. Andrew Miller, 17, of Boone, was southbound when he lost control and rolled his vehicle into the west ditch. No injuries were reported. Damages were estimated at $5,000 to a 1995 Mazda. Miller was cited for failure to maintain control.
          9:53 p.m.: Guthrie County contacted Boone County to report what they believed that to be a stolen tractor from Guthrie County in the 2200 block of I Avenue, Woodward. Deputy Zeutenhorst checked the area and found the International tractor and loader. Guthrie County was informed and tractor was towed back to their location. Investigation continuing.

    Wednesday, July 15

          12:30 a.m.: Deputy Zeutenhorst investigated a car/deer accident two miles west of Boone on Hwy. 30. Nicole Kelly, 23, of Lake City was westbound when she struck the deer on the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damages were estimated at $6,000 to a Mercury Sable.
          5:24pm  Deputy Ruter made a traffic stop at H Ave near Don Williams, driver Joel Anderson 25 of Ames was charged with driving while license revoked.
          9:13 p.m.: Deputy Pontius responded to Ogden to the Ogden Officer with a traffic stop, driver was barred from driving and also wanted on a warrant our of Hardin County.

    Thursday, July 16

          7:20 a.m.: Sgt. Hurley investigated a car/deer accident three miles west of Luther on 270th Street. Jacquelyn A. Hellyer, 33, of Boone, struck a deer in the roadway, causing $1,000 in damages to a 1995 Toyota. No injuries were reported.
          10:47 a.m.: Sgt. Hurley responded to an incomplete 911 call from the Bethel Church in the 1700 block of L Avenue. There were no problems.
          11:01 a.m.: Sgt. Hurley began an investigation of the theft of two chain saws and a generator taken from an acreage in the 100 block of R Avenue, Boone. Items were taken in the last month or longer. Investigation continuing.
          3:39 p.m.: Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office in Florida contacted Boone County to report that they had recovered a stolen fire arm that was reported to Boone County as being stolen from a rural Madrid Resident April 27, 1995. Owner has been notified and investigation continuing.

    Friday, July 17

          9:17 a.m.: Sgt. Kendall responded to a incomplete 911 to 410 May Apple Lane, Boone. This was the result of a phone in need of repair.
          9:53 a.m.: Sgt. Kendall responded to an incomplete 911 to 45 300th Street, Berkley. This was a misdialed phone.
          10:23 a.m.: Chief Deputy Elsberry responded to a burglar alarm sounding at 2252 227th Place, Ames. This was a false alarm. Key holder notified to reset.
          10:45 a.m.: Sgt. Hurley responded to a complaint of horses running loose at 22nd and Linn Street, Boone. Wayne Strover, owner of the horses, arrived and corralled them.
          4:08 p.m.: Deputy Hoffman responded to a domestic situation in the 1100 block of 198th Road, Boone. Grandparent was having problems with grandchild being disruptive. DHS was contacted to possibly give assistance to the family.
          10:26 p.m.: Deputy Pontius and Hoffman responded to a mobile home in the 6100 block of West Lincoln Way, Ames. Male was threatening suicide with a firearm. State Patrol and Story County backed up officers. Individual was taken into custody without incident and taken to Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames for evaluation.

    Saturday, July 18

          1:58 a.m.: Deputy Wingate investigated a car/deer accident on Highway 144 just east of Clover. Heidi M. Chapman, 35, of Rippey, was westbound when she struck a deer on the roadway, causing $4,000 in damages to a 2007 Dodge. No injuries were reported.
          8:18 a.m.: Sgt. Hurley investigated a single-vehicle accident three miles east of Boone on 220th Street. Driver of the vehicle, Timothy Weatherman, 42, of Maxwell, was westbound when he struck a mail box and lost control, went airborne, then rolled his vehicle several times. Weatherman was able to leave the vehicle and walked to a nearby residence. He was taken by private vehicle to Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. This accident took place around 7 a.m. Investigation is continuing as hospital is not cooperating in investigation to complete reports.
          4:06 p.m.: Deputy Hoffman responded to a domestic situation in the 1500 block of B Avenue. This was an argument between parent and adult children. No arrests made. One male was told to leave the residence and could face trespassing charges if returned.
          9:41 p.m.: Deputy Wingate made a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Highway 210. Driver Jason Godwin, 38, of Huxley, was charged with driving while license suspended.
          10:44 p.m.: Deputy Wingate responded to a complaint of a large gathering of individuals at 397 Juniper Road. There were several underage individuals who had not yet been consuming. Jadd M. Dithmart, 20, of Ogden, was tested and charged with underage possession of alcohol.

    Sunday, July 19

          4:10 a.m.: Dallas County notified Boone County that they had received a 911 call from a male individual claiming to have been in a vehicle accident with head injury. Stated that he was near Highway 169 north and could hear a train. Assuming it was near Ogden officers responded to that area and could not locate any accident. Dallas County was able to contact the complainant and received more information that he was near Hwy. 169 north and saw a sign for Smithsville and Highway 9. Turned out to be in Smithville, MO.
          4:13 p.m.: Deputy Hoffman responded to a domestic situation again to 198th Road. Grandparent and grandchild were being disruptive. DHS was notified.
