Investigation continuing. 8:06p.m.: Deputy Haase investigated a single vehicle accident two miles north of Madrid on Rose Rd. Alannah F. Jones, 18, of Madrid, was traveling at a high rate and went off the roadway into the ditch. Jones was taken to the Boone County Hospital and treated and released. Damages were estimated at $300 to a 1992 Oldsmobile. Monday, April 13 11:49 a.m.: Deputy Pontius investigated a vehicle in the ditch on the County line Rd and West Lincoln way. Driver Steven Martens 44, of Ames was arrested for OWI 1st offense. No damages were reported to his vehicle. 4:13 p.m.: Sgt. Hurley responded to the Story County line to pick up a prisoner arrested by Ames P.D. on a Boone County warrant. Arrested was Joel Anderson, 27, of Boone, original charge driving under suspension, and expired registration. Bond is set at $650. 5:24 p.m.: Deputy Hoffman investigated a single-vehicle accident in the 1600 block of 150th. Kyle Kilstrom, 26, of Boone was traveling eastbound when his right front tire slipped into the ditch and then rolled into the ditch while trying to back out. No injuries were reported. Damages were estimated at $1,000 to a 1996 Toyota. 11:05 p.m.: Deputy Wingate responded to a Boone City assist with a male who was attempting to get into a home in the 600 block of West 7th. Person left and Deputy stopped the suspect vehicle, arrested the driver, Michael G. Linn, 53, of Boone for OWI 1st offense. Tuesday, April 14 1:37 a.m.: Deputy Haase investigated a single-vehicle accident one mile south of Boone on 230th. Dillon S. Dalton, 19, of Boone, struck a deer in the roadway. Driver and passengers then left the scene and few minutes later were found by Boone P.D. at the Park and Ride, Story and 30. Driver was arrested by Boone P.D. for OWI and passengers were cited for possession of alcohol under the legal. Damages to Dalton's vehicle were estimated at $1,000 to a 1994 Chrysler. No injuries were reported. On Thursday April 9, Robert S. Henrichsen, 39, of Jasper, IN, was arrested by Jasper Police after a joint investigation involving Boone County, IA and Brown County, TN. This was the result of an investigation started in Boone County after a woman from Boxholm reported a male suspect she had met on the Internet was discussing inappropriate sexual content. After over a month of investigating where the suspect could be located and eventually a search warrant issued in Jasper, Henrichsen was charged with child exploitation and distribution or exhibition of obscene material. Both are felonies in the state of Indiana. 8:02 a.m.: Sheriff Fehr arrested Damon Welder, 18, of Woodward on a Boone County warrant, bond $600. Original charge is interference with official acts and possession of drug paraparnilia. 12:16 p.m.: Deputy Godzicki arrested a Jereme R. Messner, 23, of Boone on a probation revocation warrant out of Story County. Bond, $5,000. 4:50 p.m.: Sgt. Hurley investigated a single-vehicle accident two miles South of Boone on Oriole Rd. Jason Martin, 39, of Ogden, was southbound on Oriole Rd. going through curves on his motorcycle when he lost control and was ejected from the motorcycle. Martin did not receive any injuries that required him to go to the hospital. Damages were estimated at $2,000 to a 2006 Honda. 8:50 p.m.: Sgt. Hurley responded to the Madrid area after a call of a stolen vehicle from Git and Go gas station in Madrid, at about the same time a call was received of a vehicle in the ditch one mile east of Madrid on T Ave a 1/4 mile south of 330th. Turned out to be the vehicle was reported stolen. After further investigation it was revealed that the vehicle had not been stolen. Damages to the 2001 Ranger were estimated at $5,000. Investigation is continuing. No one was injured. Wednesday, April 15 5:36 p.m.: Deputy Hoffman responded to an incomplete 911 call in the 1700 block of H Ave, Ogden. Everything turned out okay. 8:37 p.m.: Deputy Hoffman investigated a car deer accident in the 1100 block of 216th. Janet Bosma, 54, of Ogden, was westbound when she struck a deer in traffic, causing $1,500 in damages to a 1997 Chrysler. No injuries were reported. |
