M. Night Shyamalan has chosen Bristol Township as the backdrop for his new film, The Lady in the Water, set for release in 2006.

The buzz around town lately is film director M. Night Shyamalan's choice of Bristol Township for the filming of his next movie The Lady in the Water. Shyamalan has been known for filming his movies with Bucks County as the backdrop including shots from the popular movie Signs filmed in Newtown and many Bucks County faces appeared in his latest thriller, The Village.
According to Sharon Pinkenson, executive director of the Greater Philadelphia Film Office, film crews have already been setting up shop in Levittown as part of the pre-production phase and filming will most likely being in late August.
"[The film crew was] looking for a large, empty facility that had land attached to it and office space so they could set up production there," Pinkenson said. Out by the old 3M building and the Bristol Industrial Park is the site that "best suited their needs," she said.
The location will serve as a headquarters and a back drop for filming, she added.
According to imdb.com, Internet film database, The Lady in the Water, which is set for release in 2006, is a Warner Bros. picture about an apartment superintendent who discovers a sea nymph in the building's swimming pool.
