Sgt. James P. Musack, 23, of Riverside, Iowa, was killed in action on November 21, 2006 in Samarra, Iraq.
Funeral services for James will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2006 at the Highland High School Gymnasium, south of Riverside, Iowa. Chaplain William Kneemiller will officiate the services.
Burial will be in the Riverside Public Cemetery with full military rites by the Iowa National Guard. Casketbearers will be the Iowa National Guard, James' brother Reggie Grandstaff and James' special cousin Nicholas Newlin.
Visitation for James will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 from 3-8 p.m. at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Riverside with family present from 6-8 p.m. and a time of sharing will start at 7 p.m.

James P. Musack was born on July 20, 1983, in Iowa City, IA, the son of Mark Rorex and Yvette (Musack) Eastom. James was a 2002 graduate of the Highland High School where he played all sports. He enjoyed 4-wheeling, snowmobiling and being with friends and family.
He enlisted with the 308th Army Reserves in 2000 and began active duty in December 2004 until the present. James' tour was to end Friday, December 1, 2006.
James will be deeply missed by his mother, Yvette Eastom and her husband, Jim of Glenpool, OK; his father, Mark Rorex of North Liberty, IA; his special aunt, DeeAnna Newlin and fiancé, Ricky Bartley of Tulsa, OK; his fiancée, Melissa Martin of Tulsa, OK; his brother, Reggie Grandstaff of Coralville, IA; Big Brother, Mark Gross of Williamsburg, IA; two sisters, Morgan Rorex of Aurora, IL and Megan Rorex of North Liberty, IA; special cousins, Nicholas Newlin of Tulsa, OK and Tiffany Wells of Aurora, IL; his aunt Cindy Rios of Iowa City, IA; uncles, Theodore Wells and wife, Denise of Iowa City, IA and Jim Newlin and wife, Lisa of Houston, TX; maternal grandparents, James Musack and wife, Fran of Navarre, FL; paternal grandparents, Bob and Karen Rorex of Iowa City; and cousins, Ashley Newlin, Kaylee Newlin, Dominique Wells, Destinee Wells, Robert Wells and Mykalla Wells.
James was preceded in death by his grandmother, Grandmama Jeannine K. Musack; his Aunt Terri Kaye Rios; cousin, Destinee Rios Whitte; and maternal great grandparents, Orville Gerot and Beulah Tallman.
