West Lincoln, under head coach Andrew Redd, finished the 2008 season with a 26-10 record and were runner-ups in the state tournament.

"Some of our starters are back," said Redd. "We've got experience to play and subs to hit and play the field. Our district will be strong with Bogue Chitto and Cathedral. We have a very good chance to do well this year."

Returning seniors include Ashley McCaffery, Keri Easley, Taylor Crews, Rebecca Reeves, Kayla Beth Rushing, Stephanie Smith and Hannah Knouse.

Juniors back are Alexis Cook, Karli Herrington, Jessica Franklin, Haley Ainsworth and Katie Mullins.
