Three other All-Star teams will represent Franklin County in upcoming tournaments. In the 10-yea-old division that begins June 26 in Natchez, a cast of 12 young men take center stage in Thomas Slagle, DeMartre Collins, Austin Burris, Seth Bivens, Kel Covington, Drake Brumfield, Justin May, Zane Davis, Hayden Dickerson, Ivan Hughes, Kam' Ryn Webster, and Daniel Spears.
Coaching the team are manager Jimmy May and assistant coaches Craig Brumfield and Donnie Spears.
In the nine-year old division, subdistrict action begins June 23 in Wesson. Coaching the team are manager Andy McDaniel and assistants Gerry Bell and Troy Jordan. Playing on the team are Brant Mullins, Chase Freeman, Cade Cangemi, Kail Jordan, Gerryion Bell, Jacob McDaniel, Drew Johnston, John Starks, Bronson Smith, Tyler Thompson, Gabe Stokes, and Byron Cothern.
The 7-and-8 year-old district tournament begins June 23 in Magnolia. Coaching the team are Marla Watts, Bill Arnold, Trent Burris, and Scott Brumfield. Making up the roster are Jace Watts, Garrett Smith, Wyatt Brumfield, Jacob Clanton, Gavin Burris, Joshua Guice, Ashton Arnold, DeKevionne Buie, Issac Harris Jr., Dalivan Hunt, Wyatt Johnson, and Preston Temple.
In the 13-and 14-year-old baseball league in Vidalia, La., Roxie natives Hunter Rushing and Tyler Rushing made the All-Star roster, as did Hoby Mullins and Derrick Brumfield. They will begin tournament play next week.
