Six Madison FFA students are heading to Indianapolis Tuesday for the National FFA convention.

Amanda Brown, Caitlin Heffern, Maria Aguirre, Brandon Schrepel, Craig Williams and Ryan Schlisner will attend.

Students will travel with other students in the region to the annual convention, which draws an estimated 50,000 students from across the nation.

Madison FFA Adviser Lori Christensen said the convention is an opportunity for students to visit with a variety of agriculture companies at a career show and get a taste of how many ag-related fields there are.

Students will be touring a John Deere factory in Waterloo, Iowa; the Indiana Downs horse race track; and the Indiana Motor Speedway.

Christensen said there's also a Toby Keith concert at the convention.
