The following are a sampling of the calls received at the Barron County Dispatch Center. Some are emergency calls, while some are general complaints. Only dial 911 in emergency cases. -Monday, Sept. 21- 10:38 a.m., Town of Chetek caller reports his mailbox has been hit for about the sixth time. He would appreciate night patrol in the area. 1:14 p.m., Prairie Lake caller reported a camper pulled across the lawn of his neighbor, who is not home. Officer advised. 3:51 p.m., lawn owner called to say there is damage to her lawn and she would like to see an officer. 2:22 p.m., Prairie Lake caller reports a white poodle has been at his place on the east side of Prairie Lake. The dog has no collar. 5:04 p.m., Cameron caller states there are a couple of males traveling east on County W sitting in the back of a white truck and caller is afraid they will fall out as they are leaning against the tailgate. Officer advised. 5:53 p.m., City of Chetek caller advised there are two males by the railroad tracks who are acting suspicious and may be conducting a drug deal. 8:47 p.m., Chetek caller advised he has been observing a white male who is peering into the window at a resort for the past 45 minutes. Caller requested an officer meet him at his house. Officer advised the subject was looking into a cabin he was staying at. 9:30 p.m., Chetek caller advised he could see flames coming from what looks like the shop area of the high school. Officer advised they are having a bonfire for Homecoming week. -Tuesday, Sept. 22- 9:49 a.m., [911] Chetek caller reported a patron locked their keys inside their vehicle at the fitness center. Officer will assist. -Wednesday, Sept. 23- 7:04 p.m., Chetek [911] caller advised someone in a red two-door car is parked by her residence and the male motorist is staring at her house. Officer advised this is a subject who is waiting for the caller's neighbor to come home so they can go somewhere. -Thursday, Sept. 24- 1:00 a.m., Chetek caller advised people are stealing food out of his refrigerator and he has the receipt to prove it. Officer advised the caller said the officers are all going to pay for being murderers. 8:14 a.m., City of Chetek officer will be at the high school for a disruptive parent. 8:47 a.m., Chetek caller advised he saw a red truck parked in the raspberry patch and had been shining flashlights. When he went outside, they left. Officer advised the call is unfounded. 9:16 a.m., Chetek caller advised a grey and tan medium-sized dog comes over to his yard and does his duty. Officer advised the dog owner will be ticketed next time. 7:58 p.m., Chetek caller advised there is a younger kid who drives up and down past his residence squealing his tires and leaving black marks on the road. He is doing this right now. Officer advised the subject will be receiving a citation for disorderly conduct. 8:09 p.m., Prairie Lake caller advised someone lost a shed off a truck south of Cameron on 20th Street, and it is blocking the roadway. 11:32 p.m. Chetek caller advised of a suspicious vehicle that is in her driveway. When she went out to see who it was, the vehicle took off. Officer is checking the area. -Friday, Sept. 25- 1:50 a.m. Chetek caller advised she was just involved in a fight at a bar. She was unsure of the guy's name that she was fighting with, but she knows where he is. Officer advised; subject was not going to fill out a statement. 2:10 a.m., Chetek caller advised the suspicious subjects with flashlights are in his back yard again. They parked their truck in a briar patch across the street and down the hill. Officer advised; the call seems to be unfounded. 5:34 a.m., Chetek caller is very upset that her vehicle was repossessed last night. Caller advised to contact her bank.
