The following are a sampling of the calls received at the Barron County Dispatch Center. Some are emergency calls, while some are general complaints. Only dial 911 in emergency cases.

-Monday, July 6-

2:18 p.m., ambulance requested for Prairie Lake woman who fell off a horse and complains of a neck injury.

7:39 p.m., Dallas man's truck is on fire. 7:51 p.m., fire department on scene and vehicle is fully engulfed. 8:12 p.m., advised to contact a wrecker.

7:55 p.m., Schwinn bike stolen in Cameron.

-Tuesday, July 7-

7:49 a.m., Cameron caller's 69-year-old husband is a cancer patient; he fell outside and cannot get up. Ambulance paged.

9:25 a.m., Dunn County police recover small hand tools and a substantial amount of hard liquor from the northern part of the county. Liquor had price tags from Crazy Louie's on them. Agencies investigating thefts are asked to contact detective.

12:57 p.m., girl comes out of Chetek tanning bed and faints.

3:16 p.m., Chetek man reports a burglary.

-Wednesday, July 8-

10:25 a.m., Chetek man advised he was just threatened on the phone. His father's power of attorney threatened to take away his Social Security. Man advised to hang up phone when person calls. Man was not happy. 10:40 a.m., received a call from adult protection. She also received a call from Chetek man about the threat he received. During the phone conversation, man became upset and started to talk about wiping out the high school. Advised he was very capable of this. Chetek police advised. 11:28 a.m., Chetek man called 911 to inform dispatch that he was not happy with the two deputies that were at his door. He said he was being harassed.

10:41 a.m., Dallas residence is being condemned. There are dogs and cats inside that should be taken to the humane society.

2:18 p.m., Chetek resort owner reports three coolers with beverages were stolen from campers last night.

2:42 p.m., Chetek Township woman reports she has a dark, tiger-striped male pit bull with a choke chain at her house. 3:11 p.m., owners picked up the dog.

4:37 p.m., Chetek nursing home resident slaps another.

10:03 p.m., Chetek man thought he heard gunshots to the west of residence.
10:18 p.m., officer put an end to fireworks.

11:31 p.m., Chetek ambulance requested for 49-year-old female with chest pains.

-Thursday, July 9-

10:32 a.m., one injured in farm-related ATV accident in Hillsdale. 11:09 a.m., officer will be out at Barron hospital for follow-up. 11:22 a.m., subject will be flown out.

10:48 a.m., Farm Service Agency reports a client with a pile of dead cows on his property in Clayton. 1:25 p.m., 20-plus head of cattle in various stages of decay. He will be contacting a vet clinic as to problems he had with the cows. Man is suspected.

3:12 p.m., caller has a loose horse at her Hillsdale residence. She knew who owned the animal and described it as the house across from the blue drug house on the hill. Advised officer. 3:42 p.m., animal is now eating her garden. 3:56 p.m., owner has been identified and officer cannot catch the animal. 4:03 p.m., animal is still in the yard and night shift needs to go and make contact. 6:07 p.m., animal has now trampled the new asphalt on woman's driveway and caused denting. She wants a report taken.

-Saturday, July 11-

12:44 a.m., owner of Chetek hotel reports a fight in their parking lot. A subject is bleeding from the face. Paged ambulance. 1:09 a.m., followed the ambulance to Barron hospital. 2:19 a.m., officers back to the scene; subject is going to be airlifted to Eau Claire hospital. 2:59 a.m., en route with woman to the police department for interview.

11:09 a.m., OnStar advised of minor accident near Chetek church, no injuries.

11:15 a.m., Chetek Township caller reports man tried to sell him Bibles.

6:14 p.m., Chetek Fire Department tankers needed for house fire in Bruce.

11:24 p.m., driver arrested for OWI in Cameron; there was an 11-year-old child in the vehicle.

-Sunday, July 12-

2:27 a.m., Chetek officer out with subject urinating behind a bar.

2:41 a.m., Chetek officer out with vehicle that appears the driver has passed out hanging out the window. 2:42 a.m., driver fell asleep waiting for someone.

4:53 a.m., Chetek Township woman lives on dead-end road; there is a tree across the road, and there's no way for her to get out.

11:07 a.m., Dallas woman is being harassed by her entire family.

4:38 p.m., man wearing orange shirt and ball cap and drinking is stumbling all over the road in Prairie Lake. 4:52 p.m., caller called back to advise EMS should respond as well. They witnessed man vomiting and falling in the ditch, then trying to get back up again. 5:01 p.m., first responders on scene. 5:19 p.m., subject transported to resort.

4:43 p.m., Dallas woman has an injured crane at her residence.

9:38 p.m., Chetek woman has bear in garbage at her residence.
