The following are a sampling of the calls received at the Barron County Dispatch Center. Some are emergency calls, while some are general complaints. Only dial 911 in emergency cases.

-Tuesday, Feb. 17- 12:23 a.m., 911-caller from Cameron bar requests ambulance for man who has been punched out. Suspect left on foot. 12:32 a.m., officers are in the area searching for suspect. 12:37 a.m., checking other bars in Cameron. No locate. 1:30 a.m., suspect is on Krueger Avenue, but man won't let police in. 1:36 a.m., at Lakeview Medical Center-Rice Lake. 9:40 a.m., Dovre Township woman's daughter received a threat on her MySpace page. It was a picture of a knife. Caller wishes to see an officer. 7:33 p.m., Chetek woman returns home from getting dialysis to find her carbon monoxide detector going off. Chetek fire and first responders paged; house tests positive for carbon monoxide. 8:44 p.m., all clear from scene. Woman's daughter is transporting her by private vehicle. 9:08 p.m., cell phone caller warns police that a drunk driver is out in Chetek. 9:16 p.m., out with vehicle. -Wednesday, Feb. 18- 6:58 a.m., ambulance needed for Chetek man with lower back pain, possibly kidney stones. 8:04 a.m., Town of Chetek man receives a letter in the mail from Liberty Research Service instructing him to cash a check for $3,500 and send out $2,980. Advised not to do so. Logged for information. 9:54 a.m., Sioux Creek Township man is having problems with son who refuses to go to school. Father says he has anger issues and likes to punch holes in the wall. Human Services contacted. 10:57 p.m., subjects are threatening Chetek woman's boyfriend. -Thursday, Feb. 19- 2:56 p.m., anonymous Dallas caller reports that subjects are being mean to their dogs and would like an officer to check on them. Caller says they are feeding the dogs venison and thinks someone should go and check. -Friday, Feb. 20- 4:26 p.m., Cameron woman returns to find her home has been burglarized and her son's large screen television is missing. 11:57 p.m., Chetek woman requests ambulance for herself. She is suffering shortness of breath and hasn't been feeling well for a few days. Paged out. -Saturday, Feb. 21- 8:08 a.m., Chetek caller says the house down from them is on fire. 8:17 a.m., Chetek and New Auburn fire departments paged. Chetek fire advised to call Barron Electric. 8:29 a.m., caller advised daughter-in-law left about 7:30 a.m. with children to visit her husband. There should be no one in the house. 8:46 a.m., request for sand truck. 9:10 a.m., fire is under control. 9:26 a.m., contacted the Red Cross. 12:19 ap.m., Chetek fire is back in service. Call completed. 5:23 p.m., man advised he is broken down on the lake in front of the beach in Chetek. A drunk male on a Suzuki ATV is trying to pick a fight. 5:24 p.m., it's the same ATV the DNR pulled over earlier. -Sunday, Feb. 22- 2:41 a.m., Chetek officer has a report from a motorist that a vehicle was stolen from a Chetek restaurant. 2:47 a.m., vehicle is a blue Chevy Corsica. 3:01 a.m., suspect called car owners and said they had her car and would give it back if she did not press charges. Owner agreed. Units en route. 3:04 a.m., taking owner around to look for vehicle at address. 3:09 a.m., officer dropped owner back off at restaurant and now wants to list it as stolen. 3:13 a.m., now suspects are telling the bartender by phone that they parked the vehicle near the elementary school. Officer en route. 3:16 a.m., located the vehicle. 3:25 a.m., back to restaurant. 3:36 a.m., units clear and information will be forwarded to the district attorney. 11:26 p.m., Chetek officer back at restaurant attempting to locate the subjects from the stolen vehicle earlier this morning. Officer says the suspects contacted the victim and said they would bring her $500 at midnight if she would drop the charges. 11:57 p.m., out at restaurant. 12:01 a.m., suspects sent another man to speak with the bartender.
