Residents living in and around Chetek have the opportunity to get screened for health risks to reduce the chance of having a stroke or bone fracture.
The Chetek Lutheran Church, 1419 Second St., is hosting Life Line Screening Thursday. Appointments begin at 10 a.m.

Screenings identify potential cardiovascular conditions such as blocked arteries and irregular heart rhythm, abdominal aortic aneurysms and hardening of the arteries in the legs, which is a strong predictor of heart disease. A bone density screening to assess osteoporosis risk is also offered.

A package offering four vascular screens and a bone density test costs around $140.

For more information or to schedule an appointment, call (800) 697-9721 or visit the Web site at www.lifelinescreening.com. Preregistration is required.
