Piper-Moore engagement

William and Leigh Anne Piper, of Lanark, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter Ashley Victoria Piper to Justin Haden Moore, son of John Moore, of Sterling, Ill., and Barbara Koenig of Metamora, Ill., and Chetek.
The bride-to-be is a 2001 graduate of Eastland High School and graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in biology and in 2009 from Rasmussen College with an associates degree in massage therapy. She is employed as a teacher at Pearl City High School. The groom-to-be is a 1998 graduate of Sterling High School and earned his associate degrees from Sauk Valley Community College and Rock Valley College in business management and automated manufacturing technology. He is employed as a mechanical engineer with Creative Machining Technologies of East Moline, Ill.
An outdoor wedding and reception will be Sept. 5 in Lanark at the future bride's parent's home.
