Unique wedding reception

Paul and Marilyn Johnson hosted a wedding reception for Larry and Ann Schlasinger July 11.

The reception was held at Jim and Terrie Larsen's airplane hangar in Chetek. Many of the guests are pilots who flew in for the reception, and the host and groom are pilots as well, which is why the Johnsons felt the hangar was the most appropriate location for the reception. The couple were married May 23 at his parents' home in Minnetonka, Minn., after meeting two years ago while Anna was visiting on business from Russia where she was working as an interpreter. Both were visiting mutual friends in Madison.
