Five Chetek High School students and director Bruce Kamrath traveled to Iowa for the 60th annual gathering of the Dorian Music Honors Band.
Seniors Mallorie Moon on clarinet, Amber Masters on trumpet, Jake Latcham on tenor saxophone, Kurt Candler on alto saxophone and Jake Nelson on tuba were selected to play at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Accompanying them was band director Bruce Kamrath.

Directors for this year's bands of approximately 275 members each were Andrew Boysen, director of bands at the University of New Hampshire, and James Ripley, director of bands at Carthage College.

Students arrived on campus the afternoon of March 1 and immediately put in a couple of hours of rehearsal before being treated to a performance by several of the Luther College bands. March 2 saw a full day of rehearsals mixed with sectionals, all culminating in a concert held in the Center for Faith and Life on campus.
