Christensen, Moon to play in all-star games

Two Chetek softball players have been chosen to play in the 2009 Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association all-star games.

Pitcher Emily Christensen and infielder Mallorie Moon were chosen from athletes statewide to play in the all-star games at Zenoff Park in Stevens Point.

The girls are on the Division 3 red team coached by Randy Books, Chetek's head coach, and will play Tuesday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The first round of games are at 9 a.m. and the final round is 3 p.m.

A complete schedule and team rosters for all four divisions can be found at www.wfsca.org.

All proceeds from the all-star games go directly to the Deanna Favre Hope Foundation, which benefits breast cancer patients.
