The Rice Lake woman who took medicine from Knapp Haven Nursing Home was sentenced last Wednesday to probation.
Amy P. Sevals, 33, pleaded guilty to two amended counts of theft (Feb. 13, May 12) for incidents at Knapp Haven and Heritage Nursing Home in Rice Lake.

She must serve two years of probation, have no contact with nursing homes, undergo treatment for substance abuse and pay court costs. She must not possess drugs unless prescribed by a doctor.

Court records show Sevals took three Hydrocodone pills from Knapp Haven and one Oxycodone pill from Heritage Nursing Home. She admitted she has an addiction to painkillers.

Charges of possession of narcotic drugs were dropped.
