Curtis Cote, left, has joined with attorney Gregory Jennings in a new law firm that will take the place of Jennings Law Office.
Curtis P. Cote has teamed with Greg Jennings to form Jennings & Cote, LLC, a new law firm that will take the place of Jennings Law Office.
Cote graduated from Baylor University Law School in Waco, Texas. For a year, he practiced under a judge in Dallas, Texas, in the 5th District Court of Appeals. For the past five years, he worked at Goldman, Pennebaker and Phipps, a law firm in San Antonio, Texas. He handled cases ranging from construction law suits to personal injury. His focus with Jennings will be real estate law, probate law and civil litigation. He also plans to dive into worker's compensation law.

Cote relocated to Wisconsin to be closer to his twin, 12-year-old sons. He brings with him nearly 22 years of military experience both in the United States Air Force and the Texas National Guard. He also has a master's degree in business.

Cote will be working with Jennings, who is reducing his personal caseload to become semiretired after 30 years in practice. Jennings will still be available to represent clients and will consult with Cote in both existing cases and new files. Jennings and wife Genie will move to Hahira, Ga., by year's end, but he will still handle matters at his office in Chetek from his office in Georgia.

"I'm pleased that I have been able to find a mature, experienced and able lawyer to assist me and my clients in continuing the office's service, yet providing me with an opportunity to phase out of full-time practice in a way that does not disrupt the continuity of representation that can be so important to a client's needs and interests," said Jennings.
