Carl L. Cizek
Carl L. Cizek, 79, of Chetek, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at Dallas Care and Rehab in Dallas.
Carl was born Sept. 14, 1930, in Chetek to Loddy and Stella (Prucha) Cizek. He has lived in the Chetek/New Auburn area all his life. He served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He was a butcher in Rice Lake for several years and a butcher at Chetek Co-op for 20 years. He married his second wife, Adeline Miller, April 22, 1995, in Prairie Farm.

He was a member of New Auburn American Legion and an active member in the Chetek United Methodist Church. Carl loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, trapping, hunting, traveling to Florida and spending time with family and friends.

Carl is survived by his wife, Adeline Cizek, of Chetek; two sons, Robert (Judy) Cizek, of Gallup, N.M., and Mark Cizek, of Killeen, Texas; a daughter, Sandra (Jeffery) Campbell, of Warren, Mich.; three stepdaughters, Debbie (Mike) Naczas, of Chetek, Lynn (Kyle) Gillett, of Rosemount, N.H., and Wendy (Dan) Shackleton, of Dallas; a brother, Leonard (Carolyn) Cizek, of Chetek; a sister, Shirley (Charles) Matson, of Chetek; seven grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Gladys.
A memorial service was held Monday at Chetek United Methodist Church with Pastor Carrie Hamm officiating. Burial was at Lake View Cemetery in Chetek.
