Bettie J. Peterson

Bettie J. Peterson, 83, of Canton, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, at her home.
She was born July 20, 1926, to Walter and Eugenia (Beranek) Coleman at Rice Lake. Bettie graduated in 1944 from Rice Lake High School. She married Donald Peterson Sept. 25, 1946, at Cameron. Bettie and her husband resided in Canton, and she was a homemaker most of her life. She loved fishing, word games, gardening, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Peterson, of Canton; four daughters, Susan (George) Blenker, of Rice Lake, Gloria (Barry) O'Flanagan, of White Bear Lake, Minn., Donna (Ron) Rogstad, of Oakdale, Minn., and Louann Peterson (Bob Zank), of Amery; a sister, Carol (Richard) Heldke, of Rice Lake; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bettie was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Billie Coleman.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Cameron with the Rev. Karen Johnson officiating and interment at Sumner Cemetery in the Town of Sumner, Barron County.

Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron and Dallas.
