WALLINGFORD - The girls on Sheehan High School's powder puff team, who will be trying their luck at the male-dominated sport of football next week, are suffering from no lack of confidence this year. And their 11 coaches agree: the team is both athletic and talented.
MERIDEN - The three minority party members to serve on the newly elected City Council are feeling snubbed after Democrats decided to name their own to committee leadership positions this week. There is also some quibbling about the number of leadership roles among the two minority parties, We the People and the Republican Party.
