Man seeking medical attention may have been injured in meth lab explosion at Paw Paw apartment
PAW PAW - Evidence of a suspected methamphetamine lab explosion at a Paw Paw residence was found early Wednesday morning, after the victim in that explosion sought medical treatment at Bronson LakeView Hospital, according to the Paw Paw Police Department.

David Plantenga, a continuous improvement manager at Paw Paw’s Coca-Cola North America plant, reads to little Isaac Kolleh from Liberia, Africa, during the boy’s stay at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. The Plantenga family cared for Isaac while he received life-saving medical treatment here.

"The joy of being able to live out my faith and do something for someone who couldn't return it will stay with me forever," said David Plantenga of his experience as the temporary foster parent of a young boy from Africa who desperately needed medical attention.
