Gold Circle of Sports Annual dinner
noted for April 27

OAKVILLE - The Water-Oak Gold Circle of Sports will present Community Service Awards to Copes Rubbish Removal (Bill Dunbar accepting) and Dr. Donald Demas as well as Special Awards to Louis Razza and the Watertown Foundation at the organization's 32nd Annual Scholarship and Awards dinner, which will be held Monday, April 27, at the Grand Oak Villa in Oakville, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Don Borgnine, Sandy McKee and Garry Smith will be the headliners at the affair; each will receive the highest honor the organization bestows, the "Gold Ring" Award, swelling the ranks of honorees to 96 since Bob Cook, Mort Keilty and Lou Pierce first received the award at the first Gold Circle dinner in 1978.

Youth football pioneer Ed "Curley" Sprano will receive the Phil Berchonak Award and 30 WHS athletes will be presented with college scholarhip awards donated by local individuals and businesses.
