Founded by number of German immigrants from Australia and Germany, Zion Lutheran Church traces its beginnings to 1872. It is a member congregation of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.
A strong program of Christian education has been a trademark of Zion since its inception. The church building, dedicated in 1952, has a seating capacity of 350 and is centrally heated and air-conditioned.
While Zion congregation serves the area with Lutheran preaching and teaching, it also takes seriously the great commission of the Savior, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe is condemned." Mark 16:15, 16
