Details: Fair Grove: Northern Greene County Farmers' Market held each Wednesday afternoon, from 3:30 to Dusk, Until daylight savings and then we will be open till 7:00pm, just off Hwy. 65 in Fair Grove. Held under the Wommack Mill Pavilion, open rain or shine. This is the 9th Year. We will have about 10 vendors to start out the season , or more. Pâtés orchard with his Peaches is always a big favorite when in season, and the vendors that are there all the time are Jim and CC from the Berry Patch with there Homemade pies and Jams and Jellies and salsa. And Richard and Eli with all there fresh garden Vegetables, and Lynn Oatman with her Whole Wheat Bread Sticky Buns Cinnamon Rolls Dinner Rolls .And Jack Brooks with his Honey and Sweet corn in July. And Debs Gourds, she makes bird houses and bowls and her famous cinnamon Jelly And Than we will have Carter Meats there with fresh pork and Beef. Our starting date is April 30th .Till October 1st We are having the Growing with Kids Program. This will go until the end of June. This will be the 2nd year. The first week we will be handing out trees. Free to all kids that want to sign up. And than each week they will get seeds or a plant for there own garden and we will have 2 Master Gardner’s (Mr. & Mrs Dowell) will be there to explain how to plant and grow there own garden. And the Girl Scouts will be there to lend a helping hand to the Dowell’s. Also Jack Brooks will be doing a live demonstration with his Honey Bee's. He will bring a live observation of Bees'. A must see for all ages. That date will be June 18th weather permitting. And than in August Debs gourds will be doing her Gourd Day with the Kids. Where all kids get to paint there own gourd bird house to take home. Watch for the date. And Steve VanBenthusen a woodworker is bringing a blue bird house to demonstrate on how to assemble, and then each child that is signed up will get to do there own to take home. Yes this is all Free for the Kids. So Check with The Market each week for the upcoming events and dates. We will have lots of different events for the Market, So please check it out weekly. The café will be serving food from 4pm till 6pm every Wednesday. We want to thank the Fair Grove community and all the business’s for the support and donation’s for our Market. And the Historical Society for the use of the Wommack Mill Pavilion and Grounds. The Wommack Mill also Rents the Pavilion For events, such as weddings, reunions. The Wommack Mill, a Greene County and Missouri State Historic Site, was placed on the National Historic Register as Boegel and Hine Mill. Today it is the focal point of the Fair Grove Ice Cream Social held each year on the second Saturday of July, and the Fair Grove Heritage Reunion, held each year on the last full weekend of September. It is also a very picturesque backdrop for numerous weddings, family reunions, picnics, meetings or for a quiet visit. 417-759-2807 And our Farmers Market will have there own booth there.At the reunion.
