Internationally adopted pre-teens will explore a variety of adoption-related topics in a workshop open to internationally adopted children ages eight to 12. Meetings will be held on Mondays evenings, October 13-November 17, 2008. Discussion topics include: "Adoption and School," "Race and Identity," and "Family Tree Remix: How Do You Tell It?" Participants will also have an opportunity to chat with older adoptees and learn from their experiences and hear firsthand from a birth mother about her decision to make an adoption plan. Plenty of food, fellowship and fun will also be incorporated into the sessions. The cost of the program is $120.
