KENT-Decades ago, Jacques Kaplan, a New York City furrier turned artists' agent, fell in love with Kent and had a vision of the little town as an art destination. Mr. Kaplan opened his own petite gallery, the Paris-New York-Kent Gallery, in a caboose near the old train station and, at a time in the town's history when many of its storefronts were empty, created the illusion of art being everywhere by filling store windows with the works of emerging artists. |
